Under Monet’s Ponds
Impressionistic style images of views beneath the surface, with a feel of Monet’s famous Water Lily series. Monet based his lily images on views from his own select ponds at his home in Giverny, France. This series of images are all from a single lake near Campbell River that I have spent many years photographing in, the same lake where I have taken all my tadpole images. I am more familiar with the underwater realm of this lake than I am with any other body of water. This collection is a series I was inspired to do quite some time ago, while swimming dreamily among the water plants in the sun drenched shallows. This is how I imagine the view would be under Monet’s Water Lily ponds. These images have been processed in a more creative way than I typically would do.
Images available on Fine Art Paper, Stretched Giclee Canvas, Aluminum, and Acrylic mediums.
